Collapse SubdiscussionTrần Quốc Khải I have not a chance practising my task-based lessons yet. I will share my opinions after applying it.
Collapse SubdiscussionNguyen Hong Van I will apply some in my class first before sharing
Collapse SubdiscussionDao Nguyen Thi Some challenges I might have:
- I teach a mixed-ability class.
- The time amount for each lesson is only 35'.
- Students are not used to doing tasks. They have been given some tasks such as interviewing a friend, writing a short story with a given sentence or planning for a birthday party but they all require very simple language input or a familiar sentence structure that they had practiced a lot.
Collapse SubdiscussionTrần Thị Hồng Thắm I have applied TBLT in some of my lessons. There are some challenges in carrying this task
- Students do not have enough language knowledge (vocabulary)
- Students are inactive in classroom activities
- Students do not know well how to do the tasks.
Thanks,
Tham Tran

Collapse SubdiscussionEmma Nguyen Some of the challenges I experienced while planning and implementing task-based lessons include:
1. Developing a suitable task that is appropriate for the students’ level and relevant to the learning objectives.
2. Establishing clear criteria for assessing students’ performance during the task.
3. Ensuring that the task takes enough time to allow students to fully engage with it.
4. Creating an environment of collaboration and cooperation in order to help students process the material and make meaningful connections.
5. Setting up the classroom layout to facilitate focused student engagement in the tasks.
6. Making sure that the resources available are adequate for completing the task.
7. Providing sufficient guidance and scaffolding

Collapse SubdiscussionPhạm Văn Dũng - What were some challenges you experienced while planning and implementing your task-based lesson?
=> In the beginning, I tried a task-based address with my colleague, we taught the whole lesson wrong without giving students any grammatical task, that is the reason why they can not acquire knowledge and we are possible to impart target grammar implicitly. At last, we have to wrap up anything by explaining the usage and purpose of grammar traditionally.
b. What could you do differently next time?
=> In case I have an opportunity to resume the lesson, I would love to implement a task for students like drawing a picture and talking with a partner, students are likely to expose their innovative thinking through pictures and exchange with their friends. Since then, they will apply grammar points to communicate naturally.

Collapse SubdiscussionNguyen Van Manh I am struggling with applying TBLT as I have to deal with a mixed-level class in the shortage of time (just 30 minutes). They are always weak at vocab and inactive and some are kinda special- that makes the lesson less efficient.Collapse SubdiscussionNguyễn Thị Như Thảo I sometimes have some small teaching activities in relate in TBLT but it requires much timre with carefully preparation and i still don't have enough confident to conduct it .
